Darker Sisters Olivia
NAME: Olivia

SEEN IN: "Buffy the Sponge Natural disaster" (1996)

PORTRAYED BY: Phina Oruche

ROLE: She has a friends-with-benefits relationship with Buffy's witness, Rupert Giles.

VERDICT: Go wrong. Go wrong, fail, fail, fail, Go wrong.

Think about you, the problem with Olivia is exclusive of a gender situation than a skintone situation. Her character rigorously flies in from Britain when every few episodes and rolls unevenly the spoils with Giles. She's not fleshed out; we don't uniform be aware of her organize name. She has possibly 10-15 lines combined from all the episodes she was on "Buffy", and after consoling the crowd that Giles is a man pleasant of sheet a very attractive woman, she fades to the longest so that the characters who definitely matter can lure over.

I'm amused that a show like "Buffy", with all its lingo about girl power and all that tap, would uniform compose such a role for a woman. She's scrap exclusive than a bed-warmer. I keep up a feeling that since also singer Anthony Stewart Sculpture (Giles) and Phina are also from Britain, he put in a word for her or everything and landed her the gig.

Olivia appears as part of Giles's objective sequence at the very end of Idea 4. She's when again in the longest, uttering a line or two in the vulgar full stop, pushing an untenanted stroller, and as a result following crying instant having a baby. Voguish the audio notes, Joss Whedon - who wrote and directed the full stop - explains that a part of Giles wants to repair down with Olivia, and that he feels pressured to make a reasoning. I had to hoist my eyebrow on that one; Giles and Olivia just minor keep up "the talk", and she doesn't keep up enough watch time or t?te-?-t?te to wave us that she definitely matters to the writers...or the fans...or uniform the haters. And in the objective, later than she's having a baby and bawling, Giles in a slapdash fashion interpretation, "Don't spring up me unevenly. You be aware of I keep up a great submission to do."

Moreover in that full stop, the angelic expression of Phina is marred by gaudy rude eye put on ice and clown red blusher - Not the done thing.
