The latest edition of the Exquisitus Ltd seminar 'An Introduction to NLP (with Islamic references)' took place at the Idea Store in Canary Wharf on Thursday, 15 July 2010 at 6.15pm.

There was a good mix of professionals - teachers, bankers, lawyers - present and they enjoyed a captivating and insightful introduction to NLP.

The trainer, Shahid Akmal, took them on a brief journey charting the start of NLP by Messrs Bandler and Grinder, right through to current NLP professionals and their ongoing development and innovation in the field of NLP.

Together with the audience, he shared his knowledge and experience of the techniques and applications of NLP. Subjects covered in the session included:

* History of NLP
* NLP Communication Model
* Sensory Acuity
* Rapport
* Communication Styles and
* Anchoring.

In her feedback, one of the delegates wrote: "Very informative...responsive to questions raised." Another commented: "Very inspiring and innovative...will be interested in next stage course." Further, a delegate who is a practicing lawyer commented that "...it was great to learn about NLP." Referring to the Islamic references, a delegate noted that she "...liked the Muslim references."
