Review Glee Season 2 Episode 6 Never Been Kissed
I, for one, don't take "Glee" seriously when it tries to tackles real topics. Most of the time I laugh at how dumb it is and move on. "Never Been Kissed" is one of those episodes, trying to tackle bullying and identity, but bungles everything horribly.

Kurt gets bullied by a big football player and doesn't know what to do, but when he goes to one of the competitors for sectionals, the resident gay guy mentor tells him to have courage. And Kurt does exactly that, confronting the bully in the locker room. But wait--the bully kisses him! Hold up... so the bully is gay?

Liberals love to make everyone believe that all homophobes are gay, but how realistic is that? Here's the lesson to gay kids: bullies bully you because they "are" gay themselves and there's not much you can do. So a portion of the fault is lifted off the bully and the bullied is saddled with more responsibility. Awesome. In the end, Kurt is crushed by the sequence of events and is left crumpled on the ground.

At the same time, everything going on with Beiste is totally bizarre, from the guys imagining her to Will kissing her.

But, overlooking the "serious" parts of the episode, "Never Been Kissed" has its fun moments with the Puck and Artie combo and girls vs boys competition. And as a bonus, I didn't actively dislike any of the characters this week.

Score: 8.5/10
